VILLA Monteruga is located in Veglie, a small village in the province of Lecce, 7 km from the white beaches of the Ionian coast, 18 km from the pretty baroque town of Lecce, 35 km from Brindisi airport that ensures good connections in Italy and in Europe.
Monteruga villa is nestled in a large garden with citrus trees, blades of prickly pears and Mediterranean plants, ideal for a holiday with family or friends, without having to give up our traveling companion on all fours; the garden, in fact, is equipped to host it in a shed specially designed for him, where you can enjoy a cool retreat.
Access to the house is also guaranteed without any difficulty for people in wheelchairs with the possibility of parking inside the villa.
The large garden is a great place for barbecues, parties and happy evenings or simply an oasis of tranquility to enjoy a place in the shade among the scents of lemon and fresh flowers.
The villa provides mosquito nets, air conditioning and heating, has three bedrooms which can accommodate up to 3/4 persons each, each of which is equipped with a safety deposit box; respectively, two bathrooms with bath and shower, towels and a first aid kit; a spacious living room with two comfortable sofas, TV, stereo and DVD player; kitchen with all the amenities (table linen, cutlery, cookware, tableware and service, microwave oven, toaster, raclette set, kit for grill ...); Finally, dining room with fireplace, extendable table and TV. We thought even the smallest, creating a small space dedicated to them with stuffed animals and games.
VILLA Monteruga, is located in a quiet area surrounded by nature in our village, approximately 7 km from the white beaches of the Ionian coast of Porto Cesareo and Torre Lapillus that offer countless beaches equipped for all tastes, as well as beaches for those who love the sea ​​in freedom.
You can spend the day relaxing individually or with friends, in the name of the intense scent of the Mediterranean Sea, the pleasant warmth of the sun and the Salento gentle cool breeze of summer that characterizes the heel of the Italian peninsula.
Nearby you will find supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, pharmacies, as well as a mechanic and an electrician. The villa is also just a few meters from the first police station.
The city of Lecce 20 minutes away by car or bus is a destination not to be missed: the city of art, is known as the "Florence of the South" or the "Florence of the Baroque," the ancient origins messapiche and archaeological remains mix of Roman rule in fact the richness and exuberance of the Baroque, typically the seventeenth century, the churches and palaces of the city center and art lovers should plan a visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce (1549), the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (1144), the Church of St. Irene Teatini (1591), the Basilica of St. John the Baptist (1690) to name a few.

- Feast of the patron saints Oronzo, Right and Lucky:

The celebrations for the patron saints last three days (August 24 to 26). The religious festival reaches its climax during the procession through the streets of Old Town, on August 24. The remaining days are characterized by concerts, theater events and concerts in the square. Closes the three days of celebration fireworks show.

- Fair of St. Horace:

On August 26, held in Lecce, the traditional fair of livestock and farm implements.

- Exhibition of nativity scenes and puppet:
