The B&B "SU FOGHILE" (the fireside, home in Sardinian language), lies inside the wonderful Valley of the Moon, in Aggius municipality, 20 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Badesi and Isola Rossa and only 15 minutes from Tempio Pausania.

Managed by our family coming from Bergamo, "SU FOGHILE" offers one double-room and breakfast.

Everything in simplicity and sharing, in a style that mixes with passion traditions and hospitality from Sardinia and Bergamo.

Besides staying in Su Foghile, where you can rest and enjoy the sun on the porch or relax or sharing with our family the rhythm of country, the area offers some special opportunities for recreative and cultural holidays.
Excursions in Bonaita and outskirts are countless. Inside the Valley of the Moon can be visited the Nuraghe Izzana. From Bonaita you have to walk about 5 kms following the signs. If your passion is climbing, in Aggius there are impressive granite monoliths on which to climb through routes and are equipped with essential infrastructure. Local guides makes this possible even for less experienced.

Aggius is a beautiful village built in granite, "orange flag for the hospitality" of the Italian Touring Club. In the town there are two museums, the Meoc, devoted to popular culture, where getting a lot of interesting tools from pastoral and farming culture, and the Museum of outlawry, which contains objects, documents and photographs on this ancient and deeply rooted social phenomenon. The site of the Municipality are also shown various festivities which can be seen in different months. Around the village you can find many sources of fresh water springs and drinking water.

The beaches of Isola Rossa is situated 22 kilometers, 20 minutes by car from the B&B Su Foghile. These are beaches overlooked by the built-up area and frequented by young people, families and local people. The beaches are sheltered from the wind and nearby there are restaurant services. In the village there is a tourist port with boats or pedal boats for hire. Along the road to Isola Rossa is a fun water park.
The beaches of Badesi are 24 kilometers,m20 minutes from the B&B Su Foghile. Beaches are wide and white, a few kilometers away from built-up area, and attended mostly by young people. Bars, restaurants and toilets are available for swimmers.


In the area between Tempio Pausania, Luras and Calangianus, there are several interesting things to do. In Tempio Pausania, for example, you can visit the Nuraghe Majore, a site of great archaeological value. It is a monument placed in a nature trail maintained by a company that also arranges guided tours.
Between Tempio and Calangianus you can visit the enigmatic Giant's Grave of Pascaredda. A Luras, a village half-way between Tempio and Calangianus, there are four small Dolmen, evidence of prehistoric tombs. From Luras in direction of Sant'Antonio, a must is the visit at the millenarian olivaster, a tree that experts of the University of Sassari have estimated living (still bears fruit) for over 3000 years.
For the curious, if you want you can ask to visit one of the many laboratories of the cork, from the cork oak forests all over the streets of Upper Gallura, that represented the economic fulcrum of the area.
If your passion is for the mountains, you can easily reach from Tempio Pausania the Mount Limbara, a chain of mountains. Its highest peak reaches 1362 meters (Sa Punta Berritta). It offers the possibility to follow different routes of difficulty and therefore accessible to all, either on foot or by mountain bike. You can contact local guides to be accompanied to the discovery of its secret paths.
